DoubleTree by Hilton
Ladies and gentlemen,
On behalf of the Organising Committee and the entire community of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology, we would like to invite you to the 20th Congress of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology, which will be held on September 28-30, 2023 in Łódź, Poland.
The 20th Congress takes place on the 114th anniversary of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology establishment. In 1909, only the Americans and the Japanese already had their own associations of experts in this field of medicine united by a common cause. We were among the first, and the first in Europe, which is still a source of pride and joy today. The tremendous merit here goes to Mikołaj Rejchman, a Polish gastrologist and pathologist, considered one of the founders of Polish gastrology.
As much as we honour all contributors to the history of the Society, we do not look back. After all, the aim and duty of Polish Society of Gastroententerology is continuous development. For the past 20 years, we have been organising the Congress not only for statutory reasons, but above all out of passion for our profession. For without it, it is difficult to: unite, develop, promote, encourage, recognise, initiate, cooperate, educate and treat.
Events such as this are also to acknowledge the human effort in the development of our medical discipline. The range of experts and the agenda of the 20th PTG-e Congress, which we are now working on, is a kind of tribute to those who have made and are making the history of gastroenterology. The programme will not lack review topics, the latest reports, brilliantly presented cases, an in-depth insight into leading issues which raise doubts, sometimes even controversy. We will address current and future-relevant issues, of importance to doctors and patients. All of this in the favourite formats: lectures, poster sessions, debates and panel discussions, workshops, 'live' demonstrations and satellite symposia.
We are delighted that it is Łódź to host this significant event for every gastroenterologist. The city is gastroenterologist-friendly, as we have experienced more than once. We believe that together we will create a remarkable ambience of science, exchange of experience, but also full of respect and sympathy.
Although there is still a plenty of time left until the start of the 20th Congress of the Polish Society of Gastroenterology, we are already inviting you to actively cooperate with us. In 2023 all roads lead to Łódź!
